Healing Our Relationship With Time And Choosing Eternity
“Molly said something strange then [to the unicorn a creature of immortality] … ‘It’s the princesses who have no time…the sky spins and drags everything along with it, princesses and magicians…but you stand still (speaking of the unicorns immortality). You never see anything just once. I wish you could be a princess for a little while, or a flower, or a duck. Something that can’t wait.” – The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
What if time was an illusion? And what if eternity was the only thing that was true? We must begin to heal our relationship with time and endeavor to choose eternity.
Challenging to consider. The measurement of time is so ingrained in our thoughts as truth. Around the world, cultures, beliefs, and values are built upon and revolve around it.
What a shock it would be for the system if it were discovered to be false. What then?
Finding Truth and Choosing Eternity
We choose our truth. Do we believe in the limiting domain of a measurement in time, or do we believe in eternity? And if we choose eternity, what then?
How does one on a physical plane, wrap their head around the concept of eternity and look past the seemingly obvious markers in time of birth and death. For isn’t this proof of a beginning and end?
I wonder if what stands in our way is that we don’t trust the concept of eternity. We trust what we can see and understand. The full scope of eternity is beyond comprehension for many of us. Just because it is beyond comprehension, however, does make it any less real.
Convinced that the only thing of value if that which can be measured. At first glance it seems a reasonable enough assumption.
Is it not metrics that define us? How can you run a mile without defining the mile with it’s inches and feet?
And is it not the point that metrics aid in the measurement of progression? Isn’t the point of our lives, that we exercise progress? This progress is worthless if not measured. Right?
Then what is the value of something intangible and unmeasurable such as soul and spirit, meaning, and of course…. love.
Aren’t these important to us and to all mankind? I wonder, is it not the realm of eternity that the spirit, the soul, and love exist within?
This realm is not beyond us. We are not body but soul and spirit. We do know of these truths. We experience them and share them with others. Don’t we?
It is within these precious moments of clarity that we experience and demonstrate our true selves. These are moments of peace, faith, courage, love, forgiveness, acceptance, and connection.
FLOW – The Escape of Time and the Return to Eternity
Is there a model, a concept that can be practiced and applied so that we can return to the truth of eternity and free ourselves of the false claims of time?
The concept of FLOW invites us to discover and experience firsthand the feeling of escaping time.
And what we discover is counterintuitive to all we thought we knew. It challenges all that we assumed to be true.
In FLOW, we seem to escape time, and find peace, all while optimizing productivity. It is a miracle of synchronization between forces previously thought as incompatible.
We forget about everything else and we let go. This is difficult for us. We think that to let go is to give up.
But the truth is that the only way to commit fully, and give ourselves to a moment is to let go of everything else and to give to the moment in hand. If we do this, we will discover in that singular moment, the gift of eternity. It is here where the collision of the powers of eternity, peace, and productivity create something more beautiful than anything previously thought possible.
FLOW as a Confirmation of Soul and Spirit
It is the acknowledgement that we are not of the body but are spirit. We don’t truly exist in the limited realm of the physical.
As spirit, we exist and function at our best in the realm of that which we belong….that of eternity. The realm of eternity is the home of the undefined, the immeasurable, the limitless and the infinite. It is the home of the soul….yours and mine.
FLOW as a Concept of Heaven
Heaven is now. To see heaven takes practice. For is eternity exists, then there is no finite time or place for truth. By healing our relationship with time, we open the door and walk through. This grants our souls the immediate experience of heaven and eternity.
This means that heaven is not a future for anyone. It is not a destination. It is now, and in every moment. To see and experience heaven in the future, we learn to see and experience heaven now.
For this is eternity we exist in. No beginning. No end. Eternity and heaven are now and forever. They always have been, and they always will be. They are here for us now. Amen.
