What is Love? Here For You I Answer….
“I did not know what she was until now,” he said. “But I knew the first time I saw her that she was something more than I could see. Unicorn, mermaid, lamia, sorceress, gorgon – no name you give her would surprise me or frighten me. I love whom I love.” …. “I love whom I love,” Prince Lir repeated firmly. “You have no power over anything that matters.” – The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
While this quote, speaks of a story about true love of a prince for a unicorn. It is the last piece of this quote which rekindles here for you and I, the answer and confirmation we so desperately need to restore our faith in love.
Proving that faith in a power such as love will never lead us astray for there is no power greater than love. When faith is lost in this power, it is not because love has lost power but because we have misunderstood the nature of what love is.
We are here by intent of the divine. Written into existence as an extension of a divine that is felt and not seen. The feeling is that of love. And when love is felt, we are at peace for we are reminded of what we are and arrive safely home.
To feel love for one another is to acknowledge in each other, what we really are. Described as a soul. It is a vessel of the spirit. It is a vessel that holds what is the source of our true selves – love.
Meant not to be alone, but instead, connected to each other and to the divine that has created us. Love is a feeling of peace, of home, and of connection. It is a feeling that when shining it’s brightest, is a feeling shared.
Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God. – A Course In Miracles
It comes down to a choice in faith. A choice in what we give power to and what we see as our truth. We can give power to love or fear.
Ultimately the choice is ours. That is the nature of faith. Highly personal and self-directed. One is of darkness and the other is born of light. In a world of physical illusion, the light shifts and reflects. Convincing us of what only the minds’ eye can see.
A reflection of light from a mirror leads us astray. But seeing with the heart of the soul, leads us from the falseness of reflection to the lights true source. This light is in us and its source is an extension of us and the writer of our existence. And with this knowledge, we live and create our story.
It is time to have faith in love. There is no room for fear; for there is no room for a lie. There is only room for what is real and what is true. The truth of this world and the truth of our existence is love.
We are love because we are extensions of love. To believe in love is to believe in the truth of what we are to ourselves, to each other, and gives strength to the connection that binds us with our higher power – the power of love.
